Wow, things have been busy for me lately. I'll be posting the pictures I promised a while back soon.
For now, the only update I have is this flier I saw this morning on campus.
Apparently some student wanted to have this huge event as a birthday party. I'm planning on going to this either tomorrow or Saturday afternoon. I'll need to stop by at a Target or Toys R US to pick up some Nerf Guns. I'll take some pictures and upload it on the next post if it turns out to be any good.

Pokemon Master Trainer Board Game
After having played this game a few times we found it amusing. It's great for any major Pokemon fans.
The game starts you off by picking which color Ash mover you want to be. Follow by choosing a starter Pokemon chip (Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Meowth, Cleffable, or Pikachu) these chips are picked by the player while they are upside-down. Now then, the objective of the game is to travel around the Kanto map and catch as many Pokemon as you can, preferable the stronger ones, then defeat one of the elite four or, if you're unlucky, Gary Oak. You'll be going trough the cities we all played through in the Pokemon Red and Blue in order to do so, as well as battling and force trading your opponents strongest Pokemon for your weak ones in order to stall them from beating you from winning this game.
In order to catch a Pokemon you land on "Catch 'em" space where a upside-down Pokemon chip has been placed next to it. You flip over the chip and try and roll the number the Pokemon chip has. The weaker ones have 3 different numbers you can roll, while the stronger ones as well as the legendary Pokemon have only 1 number.
When you get to battling, you each choose a Pokemon you want to fight with to start off. Look at their attack strength, add in how much attack bonus the player is using (if any), then you each roll a die to see how much more you'll be adding to your attack. Once you've added up both players scores the Pokemon with the lower attack score is knocked out and has to be revived in order to battle again or be traded.
Overall this game is great. Think of playing Pokemon Red or Blue as a board game except, there's no grinding, no Gym Leaders fights, Other players trying to prevent you from being the best, and faster paced. I personally enjoyed this game, and plan on purchasing the newer version from what I heard from in the previous post.
My rating for this board game compared to others like Monopoly, Sorry, Risk, ect.. would have to be a 8/10 If you're a huge Pokemon fan, but if you're not this rating would be more of a 6/10 for you. The whole nostalgia from the Pokemon RedandBlue theme is what makes this game so great. It's a 40min-1hr board.
I don't currently have the pictures I took of the board game on me at the moment, so I'll be adding them later today or tomorrow.

Midterms...
Hey everyone. I haven't been able to go blogger much during the weekend because my midterms are coming up and I really need to study up for them. I'll be back to posting some great stuff again at the end of the week.
In the meantime I wanted to let you guys know that I have pre-ordered Portal2 for the PC. Once it's out I'll make sure to write a detailed review for it. I'm really excited for this game to come out already.
On other news, my girlfriend texted me this morning that she had purchased the Pokemon Master Trainer board game (Yes, we're both 20~ and still greatly into Pokemon). There should be a new post coming up about this board game once we get to play it. Also the following is a picture of the board game if anyone, like myself, didn't know what this board game looked like.
From a quick Google search I found out that this game is kind of like a Pokemon version of Monopoly. You go around and try and catch as many Pokemon on the board as possible before facing the elite four, or something like that. I'll have the real details after playing a round or two.

Portal 2 or Pokemon White?
I'd like to start of with thanking you guys for you're great thoughts about the Death Penalty. I took some of them into consideration and feel like I'll be well prepared for this debate.
On other news, the other day I received a $50 gift card to game stop. Now then, I'm not a major gamer or anything, but I do enjoy the occasional gaming. I'm really grateful for this gift, but I'm not exactly sure what to spend it on. I looked up online what games I would like and narrowed it down to pre-ordering two series I've played before and know for sure I enjoy. Portal 2 and Pokemon White (English version).
Portal 2 is a sequel to the 2007 Portal 1 game. In where you take the role of a human lab rat for a laboratory called Aperture Science. The game is a FPS Puzzle game, a unique combination that worked out great. Throughout the game you are introduced to a portal gun that can create inter dimension gates between objects. You are tested through rigorous testing chambers to further understand this technology all while guided by a sort of bi-polar robot voice.
Pokemon has been around for a long time and should be known by many. Basically you take the role of a Pokemon trainer destined to become the best Pokemon Trainer. You do this by capturing, training, and battling monsters. The game previous series have all provided hours of enjoyable game play, a great strategical battling system, and overall for some of us, it has been a major part of our childhood.
I know for a fact I will enjoy both titles, probably will end up purchasing both. I'm just interested in hearing what everyone thinks. Maybe even some suggestions as to what other games you would buy.

- Quick Question to everyone. If you had in your possession a $50gift card. What video game would you purchase and why?

Death Penalty, Quickbooks, and Mircowaving Plasma Bulbs
So today I have been working on mostly finishing up 2 assignments due for my courses.
The first assignment being writing out my debate for the continuation of legalizing the Death Penalty. This is for my Speech 105 (debate) course. At the moment my main topics for supporting the Death Penalty are the following;
As for my QuickBooks assignment. I'm currently a third year Accounting/BookKeeping major student. This is my first semester learning about the Quickbooks program. We're being started off with example companies and working through their invoices and bills. Nothing too hard at the moment. Hopefully it stays like this.
On another note, being your typical college student I tend to procrastinate a lot. I won't get too much into detail about this since we all know how bad this is. I think I've spent 5 out of the 7hours of my "study" time doing other things. Even as I while typing this blog I was distracted by youtube. I'll end this post with the following video and a thanks to all my blog followers for the comments.

- It is clearly cheaper to execute a convicted murderer through lethal injection that serving a life sentence with no parole through tax payer funds.
- Most murders that are currently in death row due to murder are those who have planned out their murders rather than those who have murdered unintentionally or from the heat of the moment (e.g. car chase, accidents, fights, ect..)
- It brings justice to the family of the loved one murdered by guaranteeing that this person will not execute such a crime ever again.

Double Rainbows
I figured I'd make my second blog about Double Rainbows. I saw this vivid beauty yesterday on the drive to my girlfriends house. Obviously I couldn't help but think about this song when I saw the double rainbow.
I'm sure before the double rainbow video went viral I probably thought nothing of these occurrences. Now with the raining season coming up soon I'll be looking forward to them.
If you guys have any pictures of double rainbows you've seen lately feel free to post them on the comments.

First Update- Pokemon!
Hello everyone. I've recently started playing Pokemon Black for the Nintento DS. I have to say this game is pretty amazing, and truly a major improvement from the last games in features and graphics. However it's a bit of a disappointment that we will not be seeing any of our old favorite Pokemon in the new generation.
You start off your journey like usual, being asked if your a boy or a girl. Then unlike previous games you immediately choose you're starter Pokemon and battle within the first 3mins of the game. I've chosen to start off with Smugleaf the grass snake Pokemon. Overall this game is really great, features new ideas into the franchise, and the controls have a nice feel to them. Unfortunately I haven't had much time to play with school work and work. I currently just beat the second gym leader the other. Hope to continue playing this game through and add more blog posts.
